Setting up email on Motorola V525

First of all make sure you have a POP3 account. If you don't, you can signup with Gmail (which is also secure).

The configuration menu can be reached by going to Messages, pushing the middle softkey and then choosing Email Msg Setup.

Your screen should now look like the one in the picture.

This tutorial assumes you setted up GRPS correctly. I will write a paper for this a bit later.

For the Email provider option choose Custom, POP3 for Protocol. Enter you user id then. For CpanelX created mailboxed, the is something like user+domain.com, then enter your password. You will have to enter the sending and the receiving hosts, these being your SMTP and your POP3 servers. For ports use 25 for sending and 110 for receiving.

Notes for secure servers (SSL): the port for a secured SMTP is 587 and for POP3 is 995. You also have to go to the Security menu, which is few options below and select Secure Sending and Secure Receving.
